The California Coastal Commission will install solar panel arrays at Sunset Park, a popular destination in the Golden State.
The park was chosen after receiving a $1.4 billion project from the state.
The project will add a new luxury resort to Sunset Park that will include a new clubhouse, restaurant and spa, and a luxury golf course.
The resort, which will be built with $1 billion in state-funded bonds, will also be able to offer private lessons, spa and resort rentals.
The park will have an on-site dining hall, a restaurant, spa, golf course, and luxury golf and resort services.
The project is expected to be completed by 2019.
Last month, California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill into law to allow the installation of solar panels along state beaches, which have been a favored location for the wealthy.
The law requires the state Coastal Commission to install panels in all of its beaches, although it will allow private parties to install on-the-spot panels at Sunset park.
